1. The service
TradeConnect is operated by Anand Chandran Pty Ltd (ACN 683 956 505), an Australian company ("we", "us"). TradeConnect is a marketplace that connects customers with independent tradespeople. We are not a party to the work agreement between a customer and a tradie, and we do not perform trade work ourselves.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tradies must hold and maintain any licences and insurance required for their trade.
3. Payments & fees
Payments are processed by our provider (Stripe). For protected jobs, funds may be held until the job is confirmed complete. Platform fees and any subscription charges are disclosed in the app before you commit.
4. Disputes
If a job is disputed, it may be reviewed by an independent inspector whose ruling determines the outcome under our dispute process. Fees associated with disputes are disclosed in the app.
5. Acceptable use & content standards
TradeConnect lets you post and share content — job descriptions, photos, profiles, reviews and messages ("user content"). We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. By using TradeConnect you agree not to post, send or share content, or behave in a way, that:
- is unlawful, fraudulent, or promotes illegal activity;
- harasses, bullies, threatens, defames or intimidates any person;
- is hateful, discriminatory, or attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, nationality, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation;
- is sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic;
- depicts or incites violence, self-harm, or graphic or gratuitous material;
- is spam, advertising, or attempts to take payment off-platform or circumvent fees;
- impersonates another person or business, or misrepresents your identity, licences, insurance or work;
- infringes anyone's intellectual-property, privacy or other rights; or
- contains malware, or attempts to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the service or its users.
You are solely responsible for the content you post and for your conduct toward others. We do not tolerate users who engage in abusive behaviour and may remove them from the platform.
6. Reporting, blocking & moderation
The app provides tools to keep the community safe, available wherever you see another user's content (such as profiles and chat):
- Report — flag objectionable content or an abusive user, with a reason, directly in the app.
- Block — block a user so you no longer see them in messages or search and they can't contact you about new jobs.
We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and aim to act within 24 hours — removing content, and warning, suspending or permanently removing accounts as appropriate. We also filter and screen submitted content where we reasonably can. To report content or a user — including from outside the app — contact us at support@trade-connect.com.au and we will respond promptly.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, TradeConnect is provided "as is". Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the app or on this site.
